United Therapeutics is a drug therapy company that is focused on patient populations with serious unmet needs. Their lead product, Remodulin (tm) (treprostinil sodium), has been approved in the USA, Canada and Israel, for treatment of the rare, but life threatening, condition of pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH). Remodulin is currently being reviewd by the French medicines authority within the European Union.

History of relationship

Following the signing of a distribution Agreement on the 4th of October 2000, Antigen are proud to be the UK and Ireland distributors for United Therapeutics Inc.

Antigen's expertise in the secondary care sector, built on an established rapport with specialist clinicians, nurses and pharmacists, made us the ideal partner for United Therapeutics in the UK and Ireland.

The inclusion of Antigen Pharmaceuticals into the Goldshield Group plc in November 2001 has strengthened this partnership, by providing Antigen with increased marketing resources and support infrastructure.
